The University of the Philippines Rondalla (UPR) is an official performing group of the Music Education Department of the University of the Philippines, College of Music, founded and organized in August 2009 by Prof. Elaine Juliet Espejo. It is the group’s aim to further promote Philippine culture and improve the standards of Rondalla performance. The group is composed of selected faculty members and students from the Music Education, Composition, Musicology, Strings Departments, students from other colleges in the university and its alumni.

to foster independent, critical thinking in music, the department also initiates MusiKolokya (a weekly music colloquia) at the College of Music Museum of instruments.

TUGMA Koto Ensemble is one of the units under UP Tugtugang Musika Asyatika (UP TUGMA). It is composed of musicians who are studying and have studied the koto at UP College of Music. The members have performed in Singapore, India, Japan as well as the Philippines.

The UP Jazz ensemble has served as a training ground for student arrangers composers and conductors and has spawned many of our country's young professional jazz musicians. Actively promotes Pinoy Jazz, live Bigband Jazz music in the campus as well as among Jazz enthusiasts outside the University community and establish the group then now and continues to widen jazz appreciation in the country.

VVE, founded by Prof. Eudenice Palaruan and now directed by directed by Dr. Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng, has been the resident choir of the International Bamboo Organ Festival Foundation for the last 10 years. they are a group of dedicated singers, conductors, music educators and enthusiasts who share a love for early music.

Tagged as the orchestra for the people or Orkestra ng Bayan, the UP Symphony Orchestra was approved by the University of the Philippines Board of Regents during its 1337th meeting on August 30, 2018. As the official system-wide orchestra, the group embodies the university’s commitment to excellence, and its main functions are as a repertory orchestra for musicians, laboratory orchestra for Filipino composers and a training orchestra for young conductors. Orchestra membership is open to anyone affiliated to UP whether student, alumni, faculty, or staff, and regardless of college and campus.

The University of the Philippines Concert Chorus, U.P.C.C., or simply called "Korus", was conferred the U.P.D. H.A.S.P.A.G. (University of the Philippines Diliman Honorific Award for Student Performing Arts Group) and the U.P. Diliman Performing Arts Scholarship Program (P.A.S.P.).These hardworking student artists and performing arts groups were chosen not only for their exceptional qualifications as performers but also for their notable contributions to the University’s mission and vision of honor and excellence. As an internationally-competitive choir, U.P.C.C. has mastered versatility in singing classical, folk, pop and Broadway musical genres with signature vibrant choreography. Korus has become a veritable icon of performing arts, as the pioneer of "ChoreoCapella" or choreographed a cappella, in the Philippines.
